Stephanie Gilbert

Stephanie Gilbert focuses her practice on divorce and parentage matters, as well as prenuptial and postnuptial agreements and certain grandparents’ rights matters. She has represented clients at every stage of a family law matter, from initial filing through settlement or trial, and has handled appellate matters as well. Stephanie is also a trained mediator, having helped high-conflict couples resolve financial and parenting disputes outside of formal litigation. That experience shapes her approach today: she works to find practical, workable solutions where possible, but she is equally comfortable advocating firmly for her clients when a case needs to be tried.
Background
Prior to joining STG Divorce Law, Stephanie practiced family law at firms in Kane and Cook Counties, appearing regularly in Kane, DuPage, Kendall, DeKalb, and Cook Counties.
She earned her Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law and her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She is licensed to practice in Illinois and Indiana and holds a Certificate in Mediation.
