Sullivan Taylor & Gumina Attorneys Maureen Sullivan Taylor, Juli Gumina, Raiford Palmer and Elliot Heidelberger attended the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Annual Gala held at the Standard Club in Chicago on May 3.
The gala benefits the Foundation of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, a charitable organization founded, as stated on the Foundation website: "The purpose of the Foundation is to provide financial assistance to organizations, by way of grants, in order to help families and children affected by the breakup of the family unit."
American English, a Beatles cover band, played at the Gala, which was attended by Academy members, guests, and judges from Cook, DuPage, and surrounding counties. The firm's Academy members are Juli Gumina and Elliot Heidelberger, and partner Raiford Palmer has applied for membership in the organization. In order to become a member of the AAML an attorney must meet stringent requirements including an extensive written application, a 2.5 hour written exam, and an oral examination.
